1. Introduction

Welcome to Masters Pakistan ("we", "our", "us", or the "Platform"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (masters.com.pk) and our mobile application (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who We Are & What We Do

Masters Pakistan is a directory and connection platform that helps people discover and contact independent service providers ("Experts" or "Masters") across Pakistan. We are only a connection platform. We do not employ Experts, we do not supervise the work they perform, and we are not a party to any agreement, booking, or transaction made between clients and Experts. All Experts are independent third parties who operate on their own behalf.

3. Information We Collect

a) Account & Profile Information

When you sign up or create a profile, we collect:

• Full name, email address, and phone number (including WhatsApp number)
• City, area, and service location details
• Professional profile details — category, skills, experience, bio, hourly/consultation rates
• Profile photo, portfolio images, certifications, and education details (for Experts)
• Account login is handled securely through Google Sign-In

b) Identity Verification Data (CNIC)

Experts who choose to apply for verification may submit identity documents such as their CNIC (front/back), a selfie, and professional license or credential documents. This information is collected solely for the purpose of verifying identity and professional credentials. Your CNIC and verification documents are:

• Stored as private, access-restricted files
• Reviewed only by authorized Masters Pakistan staff for verification
• Never displayed publicly, never sold, and never shared with any other user or third party
• Used for no purpose other than verification and platform safety

Submitting verification documents is optional. You can use the Service without verification.

c) Communication Data

Messages, inquiries, attachments, bids, and job posts you send through our in-app chat or job board are stored so we can deliver them and keep a record of your conversations.

d) Boost / Promotion Payment References

If an Expert purchases a Boost or promotion from the Platform, we collect the payment method and a payment reference number (e.g. Easypaisa, JazzCash, or bank transfer reference). We do not collect or store full card numbers, banking passwords, or PINs.

e) Automatically Collected Data

Like most apps, we may automatically collect limited technical data such as device type, app version, general usage activity, and basic analytics to keep the Service running, secure, and improving.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To create and display Expert profiles to potential clients
• To let clients contact Experts via in-app chat, phone call, or WhatsApp
• To review and process identity verification requests
• To process Boost/promotion purchases made to the Platform
• To send important account, message, and platform notifications
• To maintain security, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms
• To improve the Service and overall user experience

5. Payments & Hiring Disclaimer

Clients do not make any payments to Experts through the Platform. Masters Pakistan does not process, hold, or transfer payments between clients and Experts. Once connected, clients and Experts arrange and pay for services directly and independently, outside of the Platform.

Payments made to or processed by Masters Pakistan are limited to: (a) Boost or promotion packages voluntarily purchased by Experts to increase visibility, and (b) Marketplace purchases of digital products, where buyers pay via Easypaisa, JazzCash, or bank transfer and sellers receive their earnings (less the platform fee) as a payout. See the Marketplace section below for details.

6. Independent Experts & Limitation of Responsibility

All Experts listed on Masters Pakistan are independent service providers, not our employees, agents, or partners. We simply connect users with Experts; the decision to hire, the terms of service, quality of work, pricing, and any payment are entirely between the client and the Expert.

Masters Pakistan does not take responsibility for any misconduct, negligence, fraud, poor service, damages, or disputes arising from any interaction or engagement with an Expert. Users are responsible for performing their own due diligence before hiring. Verification badges indicate identity checks only and are not a guarantee of an Expert's conduct or quality of work.

7. Internship Board & Student CVs

Our Internship Board lets students and entry-level candidates voluntarily publish a CV/profile, and lets recruiters and employers post internship openings and request access to candidate CVs. If you publish a CV, the details you choose to include — such as your name, photo, field, city, education, skills, experience, projects and links — are made publicly visible to other users so recruiters can discover you. Sensitive contact details (phone, WhatsApp, email) and full CV downloads are released only to recruiters whose access request has been approved, or as you otherwise choose to share them in chat.

Recruiters who request CV access provide their company name, logo, city and opportunity details, which we store to review and manage access requests. Do not include any information in your CV or openings that you are not comfortable making public. You can hide or delete your CV at any time from your dashboard.

Masters Pakistan is only a listing and connection platform for internships. We are not an employer, recruiter, or staffing agency; we do not verify candidates, employers, or openings; and we are not a party to any internship, application, offer, or arrangement made through the board. All internship engagements are entirely between the candidate and the employer, at their own risk and responsibility.

8. Marketplace (Digital Products)

Our Marketplace lets verified sellers list prebuilt digital products and lets buyers purchase and download them. When you sell, we collect your product listings (title, description, images, files, price) and the payout details you provide (Easypaisa, JazzCash, or bank account information) so we can credit and pay your earnings. When you buy, we collect your order details and a payment reference — such as your payment method, transaction/reference number, the account you paid from, and any payment screenshot you upload — so our team can verify the payment and unlock your download.

We use this information to operate the Marketplace, verify payments, deliver purchased files, calculate and process seller earnings and payouts, generate receipts, and prevent fraud. Uploaded product files are released only to verified buyers, the seller, or authorized staff. Listings may be automatically scanned and reviewed for prohibited content. We do not store full card numbers, banking passwords, or PINs. Masters Pakistan is only a facilitation platform and is not the author of any product; buyers and sellers transact at their own responsibility.

9. How We Share Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only in these limited cases:

• Public profile data (name, photo, category, city, bio, rates) is visible to other users so clients can find and contact Experts — this never includes CNIC or verification documents.
• Public CV data on the Internship Board is visible to other users so recruiters can discover candidates; contact details and CV downloads are released only to approved recruiters.
• With your consent or at your direction (e.g. when you message another user)
• With trusted infrastructure providers that host and operate the Service under confidentiality obligations
• To comply with applicable law, legal process, or valid law-enforcement requests
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Masters Pakistan and its users

10. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Verification documents are retained only as long as necessary for verification and compliance and are then securely deleted. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

11. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards — including access controls, encryption in transit, and private storage for sensitive documents — to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have the right to:

• Access and review the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Withdraw verification documents or opt out of non-essential communications

To request access or deletion of your account and data, email us at contact@masters.com.pk. We will respond and action verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.

13. App Permissions

Our mobile app may request permissions such as access to your camera or photo gallery — used only to let you upload a profile photo, portfolio images, or verification documents. Permissions are requested only when needed for a feature, and you can manage them anytime in your device settings.

14. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the Service, including Google Sign-In for secure login and cloud hosting/analytics providers. When you contact an Expert via WhatsApp or a phone call, that communication is handled by those third-party apps and governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external services or websites.

15. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
