Your Category Determines Whether Clients Find You
When a client searches for a "doctor in Lahore" on Masters Pakistan, only professionals listed under the Medical category appear. If you're a doctor listed under "Other Services," you're invisible to that search.
Choosing the right category is the single most important decision you make when creating your profile.

How to Choose
Step 1: Identify Your Primary Service
What do you do most? That's your primary category.
Step 2: Choose Specific Subcategories
Don't just choose "Medical" — choose "Dermatologist" and "Skin Specialist." The more specific, the better.
Step 3: Can You List in Multiple Categories?
Yes — but only if you genuinely offer services in both. For example:
- A lawyer who also does business consulting → Legal + Business
- A doctor who also teaches → Medical + Education
- A developer who also designs → Tech + Creative
Don't list in categories you don't serve. It confuses clients and dilutes your profile.
Quick Reference: Category Selection Checklist
- ✅ Identified your primary service
- ✅ Chosen the matching category
- ✅ Selected specific subcategories
- ✅ Listed in additional categories only if genuine
- ✅ Written a bio that matches your category
- ✅ Set pricing appropriate for your category
- ✅ Uploaded portfolio relevant to your category
The Bottom Line
Your category is your digital storefront sign. Choose it carefully, be specific with subcategories, and clients will find you when they need you most.
